Bereavement services in hospice care are designed to provide emotional and psychological support to families and loved ones who are coping with the loss of a patient.
These services begin shortly after the patient’s passing and often continue for upto 13 months afterward, helping survivors navigate the grief process.
Hospice teams offer a range of support, including counseling, grief education, support groups, and individual therapy sessions. These services help family members understand and process their emotions, deal with feelings of sadness, guilt, or anger, and adjust to life after loss.
Bereavement care also provides a sense of community and solidarity, ensuring that loved ones feel supported during a difficult and isolating time, and promoting healthy grieving and healing.
